THREE EASY STEPS FOR REAL ESTATE AGENTS TO BOOST SOCIAL MEDIA PERFORMANCE

Real Estate Agents all around Australia are now engaging in Social Media marketing campaigns (and many with great results). Here are three quick tips to improve the return on your efforts:

1. DIRECT RESPONSE FACEBOOK ADVERTISING IS KILLING IT – DON’T MISS OUT

The process involves creating an ad which is designed to evoke an immediate response from a prospective client, which might be a purchase or simply opting in with personal contact details.

Make sure you:

  1. Have a dedicated, external landing page.
  2. Offer something of value ie a free appraisal, house value chart etc.
  3. An opt-in where people exchange their details in exchange for the offer.

The greatest advantage of direct response advertising (aside from it working) is that it is completely measurable. This means that for just about the first time you can calculate an accurate ROI on a portion of your Social Media expenditure!

2. FOCUS YOUR BUSINESS PAGE ON BUILDING A COMMUNITY – NOT ON SALES

Whilst you can push sales and lead generation with your direct response ads, focus your dedicated business pages on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ on building a community and trust around your brand.

This is hugely important and if done well (promoting helpful content and positive engagement) it is an incredibly powerful tool for establishing yourself an expert in your region and a powerful way to build trust within your community.

3. START USING PINTEREST

Visual social media sites such as Pinterest and Instagram are a great new platform for promoting beautiful and interesting content (and occasionally listings).

For more information on how to use Pinterest effectively, keep an eye out for our upcoming blog, THREE THINGS EVERY REAL ESTATE AGENT SHOULD KNOW ABOUT PINTEREST.
